Well then both ways are opinions Whatever works to get the rebates is all that really matters

fwiw the last qty 2 rebate I did through Crucial I had the check in hand about 6 weeks after mailing it out, and the rebate form said allow 8-10 weeks.

got the ram, running at 800 5-5-5-15 2v will try something else later after I test out stability more. seems quite good. should be able to break 900 at relaxed timing 2.2v.

Many of the 2x1GB kits have easily broken DDR2-1200 with those timings and a little bit more voltage than the default 2.2v.

I'm quite sure that the 2x512MB sticks won't have any problem meeting or exceeding those clocks.
