the new cs map, nuke...was just released, featuring hdr lighting...which is new for cs:source

oh. Should have put cs:s.
I thought you meant cs 1.6 had hdr...i was like um...no it doesnt lol..

OMG I LOVE NUKE!!!

It looks awesome, they made it look a lot bigger with backgrounds and such. And its just really fun.

Yeah, I just got done playing it, and it looks incredible! Also is one of the biggest maps out there for CS:S, well of the official ones. Very impressed. Also I think that HDR might change some of the game dynamics, in how shadows now act, harder to see things in shadows at first.

does ati's fake HDR work on source? If not then I might have to leave my 6800 GT in for a while.
yea it works on my x800 xt and the HDR also works on lost coast too.

well, been playing lots and i found something out.

the shotgun is your friend on hdr maps.

see, you can hide now in dark coners becasue no one can see anything. so..walk around the coner and shoot like no tommorw.. i was 29-4 on one server doing just that on nuke.

aw well.. i cant stand 15-30 fps maxing tho.. its killing me
stupid computer *kicks computer*

hdr isnt really going to play a huge factor in the gameplay the way you guys think. you can easily turn hdr off, which im assuming most serious gamers will do. glare wont ever be a "problem" that people have to deal with

Heh, forgot about that one. Oh well, I like it myself, and after playing it all day yesterday, I find it realy doesnt change much, actualy, infact it somewhat helps with spotting the opposing team.
