tonight i got my hands on a dos compatibility card from a power mac 6100... i pulled it out and placed it into my old quadra 950 and it's working fine, but it only has a 486sx-25mhz.
anybody know if this card will work with a cyrix 5x86? it looks like a standard overdrive socket, so physically the cyrix will fit but i know how picky that cpu was with bios support... getting it to work in a mac's dos compatibility card is a big time long shot...
any longtime mac users have experience with one of these cards?
