Are the cpu temps on this board accurate?

I have an e6700 ES under water and running everything at stock. CoreTemp
gives me 58C iddle.

Someone told me the temps on this board are 15C to 20C higher and I read
the same thing in a few posts over at XS.

I reinstalled my waterblock 2 times and the temps have not changed.

:(

Intel's Desktop Utility reads 39C

When I tried to overclocked and bumped the voltage up, the radiator was
litteraly searing hot! I knew I had a hot chip but that was scary.

I'm going to reinstall my Scythe Infinity and see what temps I get at stock.

Probably relap my chip a little to remove some of the markings caused by the
wb.

I'll post back some results. I'm having a hard time accepting such high temp
readings on water with everything at stock.

Reinstalled my Scythe. IDU reads 40C.

I think it's the chip allright. I'll lap it again and see what happens.
