I have a dell GX150 computer with a 815 intel chipset. The AC'97 "sound card" doesnt seem to be working right. When ever i play a software sound, eg, wav, mp3 etc the sound plays a little too fast. Its not extreemly fast but its nticable and bloody annoying when one of the main things u use ur comp for is playing mp3's!
Anyway, when i play a hardware sound eg. midi then the sound plays fine, well for an AC'97!
Any suggestions/help would be muchly appriciated!
Thanx kieron rotherham england

I never used onboard sound for this very reason -- flakey! Get an ISA or PCI card, nowadays it might run you $10 which usually includes shipping.
