anyone have any tips about the maze2-1 block i got a 156watt pelt also, and was wondering if anyone had any tips to help (or avoid)?? i'm not sure if i wanna use the pelt, i ordered the neopreme foam to insulate, should that be enuff for condensatin protection? i also have some nice closed cell foam i got laying around here i am gonna use around the socket holdown znd around the moboard....

Ok, here's the deal. Make sure when you go to screw down that block to screw it down evenly. I have never had a problem chiiping any CPUs with this block but it never hurts to be careful. I screw mine down using the x meathod. I do 2 at a time until they are pretty snug then I do the other 2 at the same time. Then I just touch it up. It's very hard to chip anything with this mounting hardware and my block is screwed down about a 1/2" from the block itself. Nice, tight and never moves so I know I get maximum contact. Try it this way, and have fun with this block. You will see incredible decreases in temps with it as it is one of, if not THE best block out there right now.

If you're going to use the pelt, you may want to check into coating the back of the motherboard around the CPU with some type of sealer to protect against moisture. I've read that area tends to have a lot of condensation.

Let me know how it turns out, I'd like to play with a pelt as well.
