alright all you mag 5 owners need to help me out, I just picked one up and cannot find anywhere to find some fittings to adapt it to my 3/8" ID clearflex.

The inlet and outlet are 1/2" NPT...they are like 3/4" actual dimension, i went to home depot with the pump and stuck pretty much everything in the mag 5 and nothing seemed to fit right.

Basically if you have a mag 5 what did you use to adapt to 3/8" or 1/2" ID tubing.

I'm running a mag 2 at home (the 250 GPH model) and use a threaded 1/2" brass barb on the outlet which I got from Lowe's I believe (Home Depot has them also). Fro the 3/4" inlet, I heated up my tubing (which is 1/2" ID vinyl) in boiling water so that it became plyable and stetched it over the 3/4" barb. I affixed the hose to the inlet with a metal screw type hose clamp.

I got some 1/2npt x 1/2 barbs on mine. on the inlet anyway, On the outlet, the hole was 7/16" so I just tapped that and stuck a 1/4npt barb in that:) works great!

Thanks guys, Ill let you know what Im gonna do within a few days. Also the top extrusion is threaded on the outside, so I have a solution to that(outlet I believe).

But the extrusion sticking straight out has no threading at all...I guess I can try some vinyl tubing 1/2" to slip over then adapt that down to 3/8"...anyways let you guys know soon
