I like the looks of the DD Maze2 water block's mounting system, but had a quick question for those of you who own/use this water block. First, let me tell you that my plans do not include using a TEC for cooling. With that said, I am curious as to just how tight the nuts on the Maze2 mounting system should be tightened? Do you fully compress the springs until all four bottom out, or do you leave some of the spring uncompressed? The DD instructions say to equally tighten the mounting nuts until the block does not move and, in the pictures, this appears to be accomplished by bottoming out the springs against the block. Anyway, how tight do you tighten the nuts??? Thanks, Mark

I dont bottom out the springs all the way but I do try to compress the springs an equal amount. That way there is equal tension on all four corners. I like to let the springs define how much pressure there is on the chip, not the tightness of the nuts.

you prolly wanna leave a little spring in it , just to protect your core ,,,I always use a depth gauge to make sure the thing is perfectly flat by checking the height off the board at all 4 corners,,
