DD Thread Size

Does anyone happen to know what thread size the barbs on the MAZE4 GPU block are? They're apparently not the same size as the D-Tek barbs.

d-tek uses a 9/16-18 NF and DD uses a 1/2 NPT

I've got a 1/2-13 and a 1/2-20 die. Which one would work better?

Edit: Oops, those are NF not npt

Would you happen to know where I can buy a 1/2" NPT die? I've had a horrible time trying to find them online and at hardware stores.

Try McMaster Carr, MSC, Sears, or any tool/hardware store.

The ones on McMaster are really expensive, and Home Depot and Lowes near me don't carry dies and taps. I'll try Harbor Freight and Sears tomorrow. Thanks

1/2"NPT seems kinda big to me. 3/8"NPT is also commonly used. If you can't find any of them PM me, I bought a set of 3 off ebay a while back, I'll help you out.

there is no way MAZE4 gpu uses 1/2 NPT.... I have one in my hand right now... I think they are the same size like dtek using 1/4 NPT

That's what I was thinking, the pics of an RBX all show the threads are about the same size as the hose barb, assuming that they're 1/2" barbs, that would make it 1/4" npt unless it has 3/4" hosebarbs....doubt it.

I got all my pipe taps (1/2" 3/8" and 1/4" NPT's) at the local "Do it Best" hardware store. It's a chain of local hardware stores, you have any nearby?, I don't know how big that chain is...

I'm currently home in Oklahoma for the holidays. Don't think I've heard of "Do it Best". Checked Lowes this morning, nothing. Are there an NC, NF, or Metric sizes that are about the same size or smaller? I really just need to be able to fit the barb into the hole, I'm gooping them.

Nice catch.... You are all correct. the barbs are 1/4" NPT for the DD. I Shouldn't posts replys after getting up a 4am to open gifts,,,,

Still have yet to find any dies in town. Gonna check Sears tomorrow. If that doesn't work I'm just gonna hack the rest of the threads on and goop it in place.

I have worked for a doit best place and it's not a chain of stores.. "Doit Best" is a company that doesnt have any "Doit Best" stores.. if the store it called that, then that's a differnet story.. They are like a company that stores go through to get their inventory and parts to sell.. the company buys thier inventory from them and ups it a little.. thier more like a "Wholesaler" Comany..

I picked up a 1/4" NPT die at a local chain called Steve's. Apparently it isn't the right size though. I worked the barb that came with my MAZE4 GPU and it was loose inside the die.
