HI just read some articles regarding ram oviusly i want to overclock it, is it safe for me to buya pc3200 ram and have it overclocked or buy pc 3500 or higher? one article said if I use a pc 3200 ram and (fsb of my is pu is 200) rasie it to 201 will I have signficant problem regarding pc3200 ram????

some pc3200 will oc to pc4400 and some pc3500 will only oc to pc3500.. the message im trying to relay is it depends on what CHIPS u buy in the module. for instance hynix pc3200 will overclock to at least 260 mhz becasue it has bt-d43 chips in it... so what u have to do is evaluate ur setup decide how fast it will oc, then buy the appropriote ram to obtain that speed.

yeah, or if you are really lazy and dont feel like researching the specific chips you can just buy pc3500 or pc3700 or even pc4000 and run it at or under its rated speed. then you wont be overclocking the ram any and wont have to worry about stability issues coming from the ram. but yeah, some pc3200 will clock to pc4000 speeds...just gotta figure out which chips to chase.

I see so I have to find a very descent ram to go with my processor so what can you recomend? can I use ordinari ram not the dual kit or will i benefit upon buying a dual ddr kit? can you give some recomedation upon which to look at I do have a smal budget can you please recomend goo inexpensive rams???

curently i got a ASUS p4p800E deluxe mobo and a 2.8ghz prescot can you recomend any memory module before I purchase on I'm also planing to overclock the ram together with the video card and processor

the prescott ocs pretty hi 3.6+ so youll need memory that will run at least 250 mhz if u want to run at 1-1 ratio. or if u want to run 5/4 ration then youll need something that will run tight timings around 200/215. i would recomend something like pc4000 for 1-1 or something that contain bh5 or ch5 for 5/4. also u might want to check out some kvr with micron 46v32mb-5 b c chips.. they run real well in intl boards and have the right cas to produce optimum bandwidth.. plus the kvr can be bought for cheep at best buy or circuit city when on sale..

micron 46v32mb-5 b c chips..

are you reffering to this "mi not sure upon what is the ram ur refering to...
