ddr2 ram but not really ddr2?

ECC can be on a normal stick of DDR not sure about the DDR2

But the Key as already mentioned was

Fully Buffered. = FB-DIMM

now you need to mind if the board support Registered ram, not all boards do...


FB-DIMM was devolped so that in the server section. they would be able to change the IC's on the sticks and not have to upgrade the NB. in terms of FB-DIMM's they are a universal pathway. where a the extra chip on the FB-DIMM converts that signal to something the IC can use wiether its a DDR2 ic or DDR3 or etc....

i didnt get the ram from that website i got it person 2 person for $20.
now that i know its server ram ill remember that. ive never came across server ram before.
