I DONT BELIEVE IT!

i just overclocked my VC to 240\219 ran 2001 and ended up with 4036! i thought maybe i would be lucky to get to 3000 but 4036 almost doubled my score when it was not overclocked, i'm pretty happy about this to say the least :)

one note i did change a few things in the settings on 2001 so this may have helped my scores i guess i should recheck using default settings

how do most of you run 2001 at default or do you set it to match your system?

OK so i just retested and set 2001 at default settings and got 2931 i guess that explains the high scores above for a second i thought the 12.60's where magic :)

Ok, you guys inspired me to try the 12.60 drivers. Prior to this, my best benchmarks with 3Dmark2000 were with the 12.40 drivers. Yippee! The new Detonator 12.60 drivers netted me another 78 points better than the 12.40 drivers (using identical settings in both cases).

Do you mean 3Dmark2001? Usually the score in 2000 goes down when using the later drivers.
Thank ya

I did not stutter, I meant 3Dmark2000. I haven't benchmarked it yet with 2001. Since I still have a MX vid card, I still use 2000 mostly. I have had great luck with 10.80, 12.40, and now 12.60 drivers with 3Dmark2000. Personally, I don't like the 12.41 because you can't use the clock frequency tab to overclock the card and I don't want to mess with a separate program or patch to do the job that the drivers should be able to do anyway. Here is where I always download my detonator drivers.

Ok, I did some benchmarking with 3Dmark2001 now. The 12.60 drivers posted 54 points higher than the 12.40 drivers. I now have the best score in 3Dmark2001 I've ever achieved which is 2686 points. I know, it's stll low because I have a lowly MX card. Just wait until I get my new GF3.
