Hi. Once i installed my new memory 16gb ( 2x8gb DDR 3 1600mhz ) I getting error messages came in my event log.

The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.

So first i checked HDDTUNE test for errors, and no errors, all fields are green. I tested memtest86 for 20 hours without errors So what can it be? Thx

My disk is: Seagate ST1000DM003-9YN162 1TB SATA III 64MB 7200

memory is Hyperx 16gb DDR3 1600mhz 1.5v

Did you test with Seagate software? If nothing else confirms it, not sure I would worry about it.

But you put your old memory back in and you DO NOT receive these errors?

So i decide to run chkdsk c: /f ./v /r but test is running very long. I must turn off computer for 5 hours. If test will not finish i must turn off computer. IS this safe? I dont damage hdd or ram?

I am using chkdsk just after booted computer, just before windows.
