As of today, DFI has decided that honesty and integrity are not their cup of tea.

DFI and DFI-Street.com have parted ways because of this.

If you are at all inclined to complain about the situation, here are some email addresses that you should send letters to:

Frank Wong - DFI USA Support Manager
[email protected]

Ed Huang - Head of North American DFI Operations:
[email protected]

YC - CEO of DFI (Taiwan):
[email protected]

DFI-Street.com will no longer be supporting DFI products unless your emails generate a response from DFI HQ and they decide to continue to purchase advertising or support help.

In the meantime, DFI-Street.com is now available for open advertising, or even for outright purchase.

If you are interested in a joint-venture of content or wish to use DFI-Street's heavy enthusiast traffic base to promote your products, please contact me via telephone:

and leave a voice message with your name, telephone number, and any pertinent information as to the nature of your call.

Strange, I wonder what exactly happened. I thought it was a pretty cool site, but I didn't use it much as my second-hand DFI board fried shortly after I got it.

Wow, I am definitely glad that I decided to never buy DFI again, nothing like spending 200 on a board, then another 200 just to ensure that it stays stable.

I got caught up in the DFI hype and bought one 2 rigs ago and...well, it gave me a ton of headaches, and now am back to ausus

I guess I'm the only person who likes his DFI Infinity? It's always been a nice, solid, stable board with lots of features.

It's sad to see these guys go. I've gotten more than a bit of help from them in the past.

I find this very disturbing. Those guys were very helpful in many instances with my boards.

I have to agree. I wish I would have keeped all the info that I had gotten from that site, like the build guide, ect. Now I have no where to go. I have seen alot of bad information given out on other forums and now don't know who to trust. I even seen some bad recommadations on this forum today from people that ether don't know the DFI boards or haven't read the thousands of treads over at DFI-Steet. I just hope I can remember some of the things to try if I have another problem when I upgrade in the next few day.

Well, if DFI does the right thing, they will hire Travis (Happy_Games) back and get this sorted out. I am quite unhappy about all this. DFI-Street was the first forum I ever joined and had over 3500 posts there. I only have some of the video tutorials from there and will try to get some of the guides from others who I think might have downloaded them.

this is rather vague - any details regarding what happened?

In a nutshell, Travis gave an honest review of the RD600 board, which wasn't in DFI's favor, and DFI had a problem with it. Travis owned the forum and paid for it himself, so he shut it down.

Oh crap. I really liked their guides and videos. They have helped me do some work on my DFI board more than once.

Edit: I just sent an email complaining about the situation. Maybe if enough people do, a compromise can be reached.

so if he owned the site, why did he shut it down?
hmm, clearly a lot of stuff going on there beyond the one review, but it's too bad they couldn't sort things out. maybe DFI will realize that they've been getting lukewarm reviews everywhere lately and this isn't going to inspire much confidence in future products.

I have the overclocking guide, but wish I have the build guide and the PSU and Memory guide.

After some thought and discussion with other parties, I decided to not post any info originally posted on DFI-Street. I will not disclose the reasoning behind this, but trust me it's in everybodies' best interests. Instead I will use the info I do have to indirectly help others who might need help with their DFI rig.

for anyone scrambling to get the guides from dfi-street, the site is still cached on google.

I wrote an email...

I am not sure I understand why DFI and DFI-Street are parting ways. I own a
DFI board and I must say that the guides and videos that Travis had on his
forums were outstanding. They really helped me when I did work on my board. For instance, they saved me a ton of trouble when I was replacing the TIM on the chipset. The video gave a step by step guide on how to remove the fan and it really made life simple. Their BIOS guide is the reason my system is overclocked and stable. Without that guide, there is no way my RAM would be stable at the speed it is currently running. If there is
anyway DFI and DFI-Street could sort out their issues, it would be greatly
appreciated by me and many other of my fellow enthusiasts.

And here is what I got.

Dear Customer,

Thanks for your E-mail. First of all, www.dfi-street.com is owned by Mr.
Travis Hill (Angry_Game). We paid him as a contractor to support our
customers on his forum for years. Recently, he posted some improper message
on the forum that hurts the relationship between us (he and DFI). We've got
no choice but to terminate the contract with him starting from 1/4/07. We'll
have another forum to support DFI M/B users. We'll put the link on
www.dfi.com when the new forum is ready.
Thanks again

Frank Wong
