Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! *runs around room screaming*

After flashing my mobo, an IWILL KK-266R, with the latest bios update, my computer will no longer boot when I set the jumper to the 133MHz DRAM clock. The default 100Mhz works fine though. Also, when I tell Windows to shut down, it just sits there and then the harddrive begins to stutter, making a weird noise. I have to shut down manually by turnign off the PSU. I've run a bunch of diagnostics on my hard drive, an IBM 75GXP 30.0, and it's fine. I'm pretty sure I know what I did wrong: I flashed the BIOS while running overclocked settings, D-O-H!
My question is: does anyone know what I can do to get back to 266Mhz FSB luvin? Having to turn the power supply off is annoying as hell, and I have concerns over how it may affect my PSU in the long run.

Guys, I am so desperate, PLEASE HELP!!! The IWILL tech support, while prompt in their response, was in horrible English and offered no solutions.

:(

sounds like you didn't kill it but could you give a lot more info about your system! I can't even begin to figure out what you did. did you use the alt-F2 method? give some details please.

I flashed my 1.0 while running at 1.46, never had a problem. Just download and reflash to the April BIOS. Seem to be pretty stable. It does limit you to 12.5 Multiples. The may BIOS may or may not be bad, had several things happening the same time, so it might not be the may BIOS. I'll Reflash and get back to you.

I"m pretty sure I know what's going on. I've tried all three of the BIOS updates. I never go above 115, which worked great but hammered my Nic. So I backed off to 113, with the first update and was fine. But the April and May update sent me back to 112 to have a functioning Nic.

In short the different BIOS's have different, CPU and RAM settings.. I re-flashed to May 15 and all seems well.

What I'm using with the board: Duron 800@950, 256 PC133 Crucuial SDRAM, Prophet 4500, CNET Nic, IBM 75GXP 30.0 HD, Plextor 10x12x32 CRW.

I'll try the earlier update, but in the event that something is damaged, would it be the CMOS chip? If nothing works should I ask IWILL about getting a new chip? I am so mad at myself over this! This is the best mobo I've ever had my hands on!

yeah iwill will send you a new chip for a price or a maybe a good computer shop could flash it for you. I don't know if that is the problem. were you careful avoiding ESD.

Oh hell yeah, I practically wrapped myself in a trash bag! Everything was working great UNTIL I flashed the bios the first time. Ugh, I'm gonna see what IWILL thinks one more time. Thanks though guys :)
