Just got a 2600 Barton today. Cpuz shows it as an XP-M. So I dropped the multiplier to 10 and upped the FSB to 211. Sure ' nuff, booted at 2100. Ran, and still running tests, she's running strong at 1.5 volt's. I didn't know it was unlocked. Got it from newegg. It didn't say mobile in the ad.

I should be able to crank this one up. :)

Sounds like one of those low voltage desktop Bartons. They've been reported to be unlocked and register as mobiles in the BIOS.

They may or may not OC as well as the mobiles, though. Let us know how it goes!

Without a good burn-in, 2.15 seems to be what it likes stable. Full load, 43c. 1.5v. I'll burn it in for 24hrs and try again. At that temp I should be able to get to 2.3 which will be fine with me. Stock is 1.9 for this chip.

Yup AXDL signifies a low voltage desktop barton. I have heard someone else say theirs was unlocked too with a similar assembly date - there was a thread started quite a few months ago about it. They run at 55W compared to the 45W XP-M's Mainstream. However you can get them in models up to 2800+ whereas with the 45 Watter the maximum is 2600+. So perhaps there is not too much difference between them.
As for overclocking you definitely can get past 2.15Ghz - I have one too (never checked to see if it is unlocked though) and in a climate such as mine where room temps can go beyond 30C and on stock cooling it can hit that no problem.

Wait a sec...low voltage, unlocked desktop barton? In what way does this differ from a mobile? Low voltage, unlocked....? I haven't heard of this.

Its desktop as its an AXDL that how you can tell the difference between that and a XP-M Mainstream. They come in 2500, 2600 and 2800+
