Interesting article. I was surprised to see that in Dx10 the HD3870 was pretty close to the 8800GT and even beat it at the highest resolutions. In Dx9 the HD3870 suffered a bit. The rest were what has been reported eslewhere - for less money you get slightly less performance from the HD3870 overall, but the difference is 5-15% and the card costs 20+% less.
