What is the difference between DMA and ATA??? thanx....I have a choice between DMA and ATA and I'm wondering the differences and benefiets between one or the other...thanx

They are used interchangeably. Some companies will call their drives ATA-100, some will call them Ultra DMA-100. It's the 100 at the end that is important.
