Do CPU clock speeds really matter (GPU folding)

Picked up a Xeon E5-2603v3 6 core that runs at 1.6ghz under 2 bills.

As the title reads, do clocks matter so much on GPU only folding only? I wouldn't think so based on previous research but no real answer out there.

No. Just need to be sure you have enough cores to feed each client. One per is a good rule of thumb.
