DO NOT BUY A KT 266 BOARD NOW

whatever you do, do not buy a KT266 board for the time being, the boards are flawed like the MSIK7T266 and the KT266 chipset itself seems also flawed (see all the posts and coverage at ocworkbench.com).

Either you buy a AMD760 board like the A7M266 now, or you better wait a couple of months until the problesm with the KT266 have been sorted out.
Buying a KT266 board now is suicice.

wow, I just had a look at overclockers.com editorial from ED:

now even overcklockers.com seems to agree that the KT266 chipset itself might have a design flaw and not only the MSIK7T266. It seems we come to an agreement about what ocworkbench.com is pointing out since 4 weeks:
Something is wrong with VIA's KT266.

Let's hope VIA can work this out, otherwise it's not good for AMD and DDR .
