The Super Orb has a circular ridge underneath that will rest on the shim and may prevent the heat sink from contacting the processor. If you want to use this combination, you must file or machine the bottom of the Super Orb so that it is flat. Also, it is suggested that you make the modified surface as smooth as possible (to a high polish). Failure to follow the above suggestions will burn a Socket A chip to a crisp in seconds!
