I know the drives that come with XP for the v5 are no good and u can get 3rd party drivers for it and stuff,,,
But I was just wondering,,, is 2kpro the same way or r they ok?
Gettin a new HD soon,, wasnt guna go XP, it dont like my v5 and a lil boaty for gamin...
If 2k has good drives for the 3dfx cards I was guna use that, or stick with 98se...

I'm sorry I'm retarded I was thinking about pentium 4 machines and voodoo cards, not XP, my mistakte. Yes you can run voodoo's in xp with drivers that someone made (available on the net) they arent by3dfx but they work, voodoo3 worked in my machine w/custom xp drivers, until i stepped up to the world of geforce

for 2k drivers go to voodoofiles.com. i reccomend askii64 and chriszilla's 2k drivers. they seem to be the best ones.

win2k voodoo drivers

actually 2k is recomended over xp for compatibility with the voodoo`s 3DFX managed to make drivers for 2k before they went under (thats right original drivers)which I found work better than 3rd party, but win2k is not exactly what you would call a gamming system.

for me i get better performance using xp than 2k. not by alot, but still noticeable.

I think that becase xp is more for gaming than 2k. with the right drivers you should se a jump in preformance.
