This case I'm looking to buy says it has an 450 atx p4 psu. Probably a dumb question, but will this work w/ my athalon? my mobo is an atx btw.

Thanks

It should work with no problems. But there are many cheapo PSU's that are "P4 ready!". So it isn't a guarantee of quality.

of course it wud work, given that it has the atx connector for amd boards. the psu i have on my rig right now works with p4 and amd quite well.

The only difference is that a P4 approved PSU has that extra 12V line/connector that plugs into the mobo so yes it can work & probably advisable to buy one of them cause some AMD boards seems to be incorporating it to their design.

Thanks it looks like I'll get it
