I have a 8kta+ and a 8KTA3, But I don't here much about them. I've got the + board duron 850 @ 1170 Globalwin air cooled. The TA3 has a 1.2 @ 1.470 ata100 both have the same HSF. Is there any motherboard mods for this one?

I just built a system with an epox board (8kta+). The 850 at 950. So far its a great board easy to oc and really stable.

I hope they are good because I just ordered one to replace my junky A7V133... If it has as many problems/incompatibilities I may just go back to Intel. It's great trying to get the most out of your system, but when you can't even get your system stable it gets old really fast. I rely on my computer for work, and I just can't afford to have it crashing and locking up. Basically I'm praying that the EPoX is the answer to my problems.

The 8kta3 with a tbird 1.2 266 is back down to 1400, wouldnt finish 3dmark.I went to 9X150 and lost my voodoo 4500 32mb on 3dmark it went to desktop but on reboot, no display. I cleared cmos but still nothing.I put back in my nvidia 32mb and at 10X140 no problems. I am a electronics technician for over 20 years and would like to know of any motherboard mods that I can do for overclocking. Its posted over 1.5 gig but I get windows protection error.

I'm running an EPoX EP-8K7A and am very pleased with it. Its rock stable, and has been a good overclocker so far. Currently running a 1.33 at 1562mhz, but I plan to push it further since i just got my new water pump to fix my dying H20 Cooling system. A few quirks here and there, but so far this has been the best Mobo i've had in my system since the 'ol BX days.

I had a MVP3G2 (socket 7 board) and I liked it... pretty good overclocker board considering it was socket 7. EPoX boards are good alternatives to the Abit/Iwill/MSI trifecta... I would consider one if they had one that had the features I wanted.
