yeah dtek sells a t-fitting with a temp probe stuck into it like that. it doesnt come with a display though. you have to connect the wire from the probe to a display like a compunurse.

I set one up once by just buying the indoor/outdoor probe for $10 at Wall-Mart and a T from Home Depot for $1.50 and some silicone. Take the cover off the inline probe for the outdoor part (little black piece with sticky tape on it) stick it in the T to where the probe will barely touch the water as it flows and then fill the rest of the hole in the T with silicone. Let dry over night and you are good to go. I like the indoor/outdoor because you can get the water temp from the outdoor probe and the room temp from the indoor probe all in one unit.

Thats what I did. I bought mine from Fred Meyer in the garden dept. That type of setup works great.

The digital therm that Radio Shack sells might work as well.

I know Home Depot sells various sizes of the poly Ts

I bought the indoor/ outdoor thermostat at Fred Meyer and the T at Home Depot. Just use marine goop and your good to go.

its already proofed, i did that with a copper T and just jbwelded the end shut with the probe in there.... i used a diff type of probe, but similar to the compunurse ones, but ultra acurate...

you want to put it before the cpu, that way you can tell what the inlet water temp is
