I agree, that looks like one heck of a hsf! I couldn't tell you what kind of HSF that is though. :( But I would be really curios to find out what it is and what kind of performance it offers.

If Zalman was no so preoccupied with low noise, this could be an excellent cooling solution. I have always like radial designs for cooling the AMD Duron and Tbird. I can't help but wonder how this HS would perform with a stiff (read loud) fan on it. I would love to get my hands on one of these babies, for experimentation. If you saw what I am doing to my MC-462A right now, you would sign to have me committed.

well as far as the pic on my profile-i would modify it to be different but my paint shop wont open a gif-and i cant edit a gif as i do with a bmp-and bmp wont post in the profile-ill change it tonight-but it is nice

I saw one of those at a computerfair in pomona (near LA in california) They're really big and heavy, and the demonstrastion one seemed to be running really cool.

if im not mistaken, these hsf are way WAY more heavier correct? im sorry i would avoid putting too much weight on my mb. if cooling began creating those monsters, either make steel reinforced mb;s :) or go to more effective water cooling.

just my .02

I won one of those Zalman coolers a few months back. Have been using it until I get my water cooling finished up. Which version is it that your wanting to try out Hoot? Once my water rig is going I'd be willing to send this one to you. I chipped the hell out of my 1.4 t-bird with it. Thought I killed it but its still working. TG!! I dont remember exactly which one it is I have, its 5000 or 5500? or something like that...
