Does The Abit AV8 Pro have AGP/PCI Locks ?

AV8 Pro? Well here is the deal with AGP/PCI lock with K8T800 Pro boards. Some work perfectly some work halfway. Mine works perfectly at least up to 250 HTT (never gone higher with it). Some people claim that it stops working at a certain HTT sometimes as low as 240 but there are some new variables with s939 that you didn't have to consider on socket A. I suspect a lot of people will blame the lock when something else is stopping them. If you suspect your lock is not functioning properly there are divisors you can use instead which are pretty much guaranteed to work although you may have to have a AGP over/under clock when using them.

Mine unfortunatly was flaky. While running 1:1 my PCI locks were non functional however running asynch they were fine

thx for the replys guys. it's apprciated, but i took i leap of faith and ordered a Neo2 Plat. the company i ordered from has a good rep for RMA's. i just hope i'm one of the lucky ones and dont need it. if so i'm going to give the KT800 Pro chipset a go. again thx
