looks good to me, but that mobo has matrix raid, you may want a matching set of HD's to take advantage of that.

Since you're buying everything new. I don't see any reason to not get identical drives.

I think i will stick with the one Raptor at the moment.

150GB will last me quite a while, then by the time it has 20-30gb left iw ill be able to afford another Raptor drive :)

the advantage of matrix raid is speed, not size. ;)

but no, its not required. i know i would have it on my list tho, if i was going all out (as it seems you are).

Which sort of Raid is matrix Raid will it be Raid 0, RAID 1, RAID 2, RAID 3 etc......

And for instance if i had one Raptor Drive and then two Seagate drives and they were set in matrix Raid what would be faster?

Ive never really encountered RAID or even try to set it up.

But when i get my new PC i will do it just looking at a few sticky s now :)

I dont like the Idea that in Matrix Raid if one Hard Disk gets corrupted that the other one has a chance of losing data aswell? so the whole Array will fail? :(
