Does using POTS screw up the voltages?

well obviously they dont when you have them set at full bore..

but if you have the dial set half way...does that harm the Power supply in any way or lower votages? would this be a problem for overclocking?

If you mess with the pots, you will change the voltages. You could damage your hardware by doing this.

I guess that I am confused. I thought you were referring to the pots in your power supply. The voltage regulating rheostats and potentiometers that one installs externally to control fan speed are fine.

the 7 volt trick (connecting a fan to the red and yellow wires of the molex connector), wud cause sum psu's to trip. i wud suggest getting a baybus/rheo for adjusting fan speeds.

I don't know about everyone else but POT messes with alot of things. Like fine motor control, situational awareness, ability to maintain balance, appetite...
