Ok here's the current stats:
AMD 1.2 266 AVIA (forgot to right down the rest of the code)
Iwill KK266 rev 1.1 (has the B southbridge)
128MB Mushkin rev 2 @CAS 2 142 MHz
Cheesy HSF with a cheesy fan. This was the only present option because the PSu sits right over the d@mn HSF. I did take the top and sides off the case and mount a 80 mm fan so that it blows directly on the side of the HSF. My idle temps are showing 36C in the BIOS. I do need a good monitor that will post my bios temps in windows 2k pro. If you know of one let me in on it. Sandra is miles from accurate on that.

Heres the numbers:

1.4 with a cheesy fan? Congratulations.

Man get a better case. It makes life and ocing so much easier. May I suggest you check out the addtronics 6892 with 12cm fan in front? Case w/o P/S can be had for $80 + shipping ($25)

Then get a GW WBK 38, mount the 80mm fan on it, and go for 1.5.

Good luck

Thanks Yo- I'm holding out for a

Lite On case. I'm also holding out for a Millenium Copper Heat sink fan. It's the next best thing to water cooled and you can't beat the case. Check it out. It's kinda spendy but it's got every thing I want including a reasonably small height with a large amount of interior space.

I'm way pleased with the current numbers but know I could do better with some improved equipment and a new video card. I think that Matrox mystiqe is holding me back on the FSB.

Still need that windows based temperature monitor though.. If anyone knows... let me in on it.. Thanks.

Why are you using such a smallish case?

Also, I am not sure, but it looks like it does not allow to open the side panels. Pulling off the entire top is a pain if you need quick access.

If you really have some space constraints, check out the addtronics 389x. It's smaller than the 6892, but still a very good case.

Yo that case actuall is shown with a P4 Mobo in it. Somewhat larger than a std atx mobo. Also while the case has a low overall height, it has a wider than avg width. This case is being used by some case modding sites because of that width. I'll check out the addtronics. Does it have a removable mobo tray?

via hardware monitor will show your temps and i think it comes included on the iwill driver cd if i remember right :)

Seabhac,

Glad to see that your IWIll system is coming along. I decided to go with the Iwill KK266 also and have put my system together and so far everything is going well.

I would highly suggest the Addtronics 6896A. This case is just incredible. It has a removable motherboard tray that you are looking for. Check out their home page and look at the specs. I don't think you would be disappointed. It was worth every penny I put into it.

Hi Guys- I am considering the Addtronics case. I was checking it out yesterday. The only thing that worries me is the width. It comes in at 8.25" whereas the Lite on is an inch wider. I'm wondering if I could get a 120 mm fan in the front of the addtronics. Any body know?

Thanks for all of your help. 3 months ago I didn't know what OCing was. It's appreciated.

The Addtronics 6896A comes with a 120mm fan. Check out the fan diagram on their web page. It shows where all the case fans are places. It has space for one 120mm and one 80mm for intake, 80mm fan, one 92mm outtake fan, 2 fans to cool the HDDs, and a place to put an 80mm over the processor.
