Don't think droop mod works!?????

Can anybody help? Please, I just done the droop mod using 28k ohm resistor soldered to the blue points on stickys picture. Not sure if it has made any difference the voltage still varies around 1.39/1.43, not sure if that's an exceptable limit.

The thing is that I cant take the External frequency past 260 now, before the mod I could hit 265.
Any ideas anybody?????? :bang head

I was running at 3.98GHz i'm now running at 3.90GHz :temper:
 
I did the mod last night and before I did it I was stuck at around 3.8-4.0 now I'm at 4.26 with less voltage. I also soldered to the blue marks on the picture.
 
Yeah but the board used to droop bad and it held back my oc. It runs about -25*c idle and -10*c full load.
 
with droop mod working vcore voltage should be around what is set in bios under load
 
Yeah, I noticed the effects of the droop for the first time last night when I was benchmarking with CPU-Z open. It kind of bums me out to have my BIOS voltage at 1.475v and to have it lower itself to 1.4v when it's at load :p

try bios 18 for your p4c800-e dlx..it boots up slow but overclocks higher and i find it to be more stable..

you got to fine tune your droop mod by using a variable
resistor/potentiometer/a.k.a. pot.. set the pot to 28K..then run prime95 x2..then adjust the pot on-the-fly while monitoring the fluctuation using a digital multitester..every mobo is unique and requires finetuning if you want the least fluctuation in vcore...that's what i did to my past p4c800/e's mobos..

in my current p4c800 dlx: at full load with the vcore set to "auto", it vcore fluctuates between 1.584 and 1.568... (0.016) that is with prime95 x2 running..
