Bought this for my girlfriend because she liked tomb raider and loves dragons. She really loves it so far. (I plan to gradually get her more addicted to games and then steer her towards my favorite titles) However, the damn thing keeps crashing on her. Had the latest video drivers on it...this machines an old one that she runs it on though. TNT2, good abit main board though, quality ram. I ran it as my own rig until recently.

I updated the sound drivers on the sound blaster 64 PCI, and I *think* I may have fixed it. I wanted to revert to older nvidia drivers but it just didn't happen. (Install old drivers, are you sure? yes. goes through install process, reboot...same drivers are installed! grrr)

Anyone have these problems, latest patches and drivers. Its an old game but still...

I can see who wears the pants in that relationship. Good for trying to get her into games.

Since I see this is an older rig, have you though that if it worked fine during installation, that some files could have been damaged if a older HD is used? It seems you have troubleshot this pretty well. Try installing it onto other computers, then you would know if the problem is hardware or OS related.
