Has anyone used a diamond cutting wheel to mod there case? i just got me one today and there pretty expensive and wondering if i should just use high quality cutting wheels or if the diamond cutter would leave a cleaner look and last for more then 1 case mod. i can get around 60 High quality or 96 normal cutting wheels for the price of 1 diamond one.

I would go with regular and spend extra money on computer parts, looks are not as important as performance, in my view at least.

You don't want either of those wheels.
For cutting steel the best type of cut-off wheels to use is a carbon-reinforced wheel. They cost about $6 for a pack of five.
The normal high quality wheels are just too week for steel, you might end up hurting yourself if a wheel breaks and goes flying at you (hehehehee, happened to me) . The carbon wheels will never break like the supposedly high quality ones do, instead if you putt to much pressure on it you'll just end up wearing it off too quickly.

Once you get them, remeber dont crank your dremel to top speed either. You want the highest speed at which the wheel practically has no wearing on it. And let the dremel do the work for you... Thats 5-pack will last you a long time if you use them correctly.

Pick one up at Home Dpot or here

that wheel cuts into steel like butter, and it gives you a more clean cut. it lasts longer too.

Sears has got a 3 pack of the diamond reinforced cutoff wheels for $7. I know the exchange rate sucks, but that still seems about twice or more what they should have cost. It even comes with an additional shaft.

i used my friends to mod 3 cases....blow holes, windows....and the wheel still looks new to me. just don't force it into the steel....let the spins do their jobs, and you will be fine.:D
