here are the IDE channels and settings
ide 1 zip100 and 6GB Maxtor slave
ide 2 plextor 12x10x32 master
ide 3 IBM 45GB 75gxp master 52xCD-rom slave
ide 4 maxtor diamondmax 60GB master 12x pc-dvd slave

When i get into windows, it only recognizes the plextor cd... everything else is there and works perfectly, i just an missing 2 cd drives................ help anyone? i've already been through the FAQ @ viahadware.com and i'm lost... bah!

Go into the BIOS and make sure the board is detecting them. Sometimes it takes a time or two. I had to hit enter on mine more than once to for it to locate them.

they are recognized in bios... trust me... they just dont make it to windows. also, if i boot into safe mode, they appear in device manager, but not windows.....

Can you go into device manager->IDE controllers, and see if they have been set to none? I think I had that problem a while ago, where bios would see it, but windows wasn't looking for a device at that location.

good luck
