I got mandrake 8.1 standard. how do i install nvidia display drivers?, lol, im lost

if you want a way to install from source (normally a better idea because i believe it is more tailored to you machine when you do this)

Try to keep away from the RPMs, and use the tarball instead. A lot of people I know have had trouble with the RPMs, some being forced to reinstall. And its defintely better to compile from source, although it takes a bit longer.
