Full disclosure, I'm really lenient, especially when it comes to "side street vendors". Not the main go-to's, but still reputable vendors.
Drop, for me was one of them.
For those that don't know, Drop would go out to 3rd parties, get an order quota, and then "mass drop" it. Their original name in fact being MassDrop.
The positive being, while there was a delay in shipping, you could get a decent deal on fairly unique items.
It's how I built my current keyboard. A solid, in-house "frame", double-injected keycaps (with a silky feel I might add), and Holy Panda X keys hand-lubed by Drop.
Expensive, but OMG worth it.
Now I've ordered a few other things here and there. A set of Breed titanium sunglasses, a headphone clamp hangar, etc. They were all fine.
But when ordering more actual... "drops"? Things get delayed with zero contact between me and the manufacturer.
A couple weeks ago an order ship date came and went, just a one-off email saying maybe it'd ship by the end of June. Mass can't even be bothered to update my account page with whatever the new date is.
And just today, why I'm posting this - a full set of keycaps for a *work* keyboard. Ship date came and went, no contact.
I've been lenient with Drop as they introduced me to cool local items, but they're really slacking when it comes to their mainstay bulk. The hardcore nerdy sh*t, the type of things where I plan builds out on STATED ship dates.
Now they're more expensive than alternatives (Amazon) and can't meet their own stated extended deadlines, I'll be going elsewhere for my trash,
