which would you say is faster praticulary for games
I want a fast game machine

so what should I get

I didn't think that you could run Celeron IIs (which I think you would have to be to reach a gig) in SMP... unless I'm mistaken, Intel specifically disabled them so they couldn't be used as such...

I have heard a bunch of people who have done that

just have fun finding a board

They must have been bull$hittin you, because you CANNOT run dual Cellies......
Get a PIII 800

The article is refering to the old PGA celerons. The FC-PGA celerons WILL NOT run in an SMP configuration, PERIOD!

and to develop.......

SMP not available in FCPGA celerons.

P3 800e and eb should have the same overclockability in the core, however they will not give the same end result due to the different multipliers.

People overclocking eb chips are special people since they pay particular attention to the memory theyt use and the other components within their system in order that they can run at FSB's in excess of 150Mhz.

The ideal FCPGA chip to purchase is quite definatley the P3 700e, the 8.0x multiplier of the 800e is a bit stupid.
