Hi all after about 48 hours of folding as a new member I somehow have gotten 36.5 points !!!!

Being new I figured this many points a week not in 2 days.I am now so siked I am trying to do the math on how long it will take to get to the top 50 in rankings !!And adding another 1.4 AMD @ 1.53 into the fold ...................................

Hmm weird what makes someone smile LOL....

For those of ya thinking dual I think this score says it aLL AMD RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice. Dual rigs do very well, especially the XP's. You should rocket to the top fairly quickly. But watch out for me. I've got my duallies planned soon. All 10 of them :D

Welcome to the team Diehrd. THat's a great start. :D

Welcome from me too...it's great to see some dual AMD horsepower cranking out results for 32. A dual AMD system is probably the best folder available for people in our budget arena. Fold on!

At this point it's not very budget.... you could probably built 2 barebones folding-only systems with K7S5A's for less than what a dual setup with the same CPU's would cost. A TigerMP, which is the cheapest dual AMD board, is still over $175. 2 K7S5A's are a combined $102 plus shipping.

You still need two psu's then two HDD's plus two video cards plus another spot in a KVM for video and another spot in a DSL router to get internet access so you wont have to buy two more cdrom's or FDD's to install and update the PC.

I want a dualy but one I can overclock with!

Refurb From newegg S2460 129.99

That's what I meant....sorry SickBoy, I wasn't more specific.

if your really hardcore you could overclock by cutting bridges and connecting others or even better use golden sockets

Speaking of which, who sells those? I was going to get some from Plycon but they don't have them anymore.

Okay, I'll give you that one.

then two HDD's

Yeah, I guess I'm not like most people, I can get small (sub 1 GB) hard drives for cheap (like $5-10)... and I think they're around if you look.

plus two video cards

Yes, this is true.

plus another spot in a KVM for video

VNC, baby. Free.

and another spot in a DSL router to get internet access so you wont have to buy two more cdrom's or FDD's to install and update the PC.

Solution: cheap hub. Hook all the folding boxes to it, it doesn't matter if they split bandwidth, they hardly use any anyway.

Hehe, yeah, this is pretty much all I want as well...

Well I dident build cause I was on a budget.I built the syatem cause I needed the power of a dual.

Now some good news I added my rig 3.06 gigs mY wifes rig 1.53 gigs, and a friends rig I built him 1.2 gigs..

All AMD power folding for TEAM 32 !!!! 5.79 gigs !!!!!!!I also have 2 p-2 350 sytems I may set up for dedicated folding and I have an 850 duron I may put together !! Just need to find the time and order the parts !
