Is it nescessary or must use TWINX DDR for dual channel or just use two single one with the same brand will do ??

Expert pls help!!!

There is no such thing as Dual Channel Ram. TWINX has just been tested to work together. Technically any two sticks of the same ram should work in dual channel

i second that any two memory ram in the dual sockets will run in dual mode...

Yes it will work...but you really should try to stay with the same type ram as the two will run at the slowest module in the system...if you have pc2100 and match it with a pc3200 module the pc3200 module will run at pc2100

you can order matched pairs of ram used in dual channel mode.. supposedly they are pretested to run close to the same frequency. however u pay a premium and according to some of the guys who have bought it, there is a significant difference between the two at their highest frequency.. which was supposed to be eliminated. another way of gouging the buyer...
