dual link DVI

Does anyone know why the display is all messed up when I use a dual link dvi cable at high resolutions, around 1900x1200, but when I set it as 800x600 everything looks fine?

I know this is probably not related to ati cards, but I tried it with a 9800pro and a 1950xtx.

Are you sure your monitor supports 1920x1200?

Also I do not know about the xtx card but most cards that have a dual link DVI adapter its only one of them not both.

If the above are fine. Then try another cable.

Yes, with single link cable it works properly on a 24". Could it be a bad dual link cable? With dual link it should work right?
