Dual MOB for Athlon?

Does anyone know if all athlon cpu support smp? Or is smp an OS function?

Athlon MP processors are the only OFFICIAL smp processors but regular Athlons work great. Spode was playing around with a Tyan board but had no luck getting durons to run on it. I don't know if this is a bios issue or what. For smp you must also have a smp compatible OS like win NT, 2000, or linux, windows ME and 98 don't support it.
