Dumb Question

When they say 80mm fan is that from end to end? I'm getting ready to order some fan guards and need to know which size to order. My fans are 3.25 inches or 82.55 mm from edge to edge staight across. Thanks....

Fans are usually measured on their outside diameter across the frame. The blades are about 3-4mm smaller than the fan size says.
