Duron 1GIG Morgan Core?

How do I know if I bought a Duron 1GIG with a morgan core? I fried my bird the other day and needed a quick replacement so I picked up a retail box locally. Just wanted to know. Thanks.

if the die looks long then its a morgan core, if it has 5L1 then its a morgan core, and if cpuid says it has sse then its also a morgan core

All the 1Gigger Durons are morgan cores, and from what I've heared they also have 5 L1s instead of the Duron/T-Bird 4 and if u install the CPU + Reinstall the OS and run WCPUID and it tells ya that SSE is enabled then its a Morgan core

Wcpuid doesnt tell you that SSE is enabled. You must enable it yourself. Look at the article i wrote about it here......

Thanks guys. I'm still just a bit confused seeing some people say there are both cores. I was able to do the SSE trick though. So the final verdict is?

Almost all are morgan cores but some of them have the other one.
