Hi.
I'm trying to o/c a duron 800 on a MSI K7T Turbo MOBO, but there are some problems:
When removing the j17 jumper to set the fsb to 133Mhz the system won't post, even with multiplier set to 5. I found out that the duron default multiplier is set to 8 and that the K7T turbo uses this at the first instant of the boot which would add up to 8*133=1064. To lower the default multiplier to 7.5 I closed one of the L6 bridges. The problem is, with this closed the system won't post at ANY fsb setting. If I open the bridge again the system boots fine.

Also I can't get the system to post with any fsb setting above 115Mhz, and I can't get the system to post with the duron above 950Mhz with any fsb setting. I read that there might be a post-problem with the K7T Turbo, but that's all I know about it.

The rest of my system: 256Mb 133Mhz cas 3, geforce 256 ddr. I have the latest MSI beta bios update.

Do you guys have any ideas?

here the thing you may do...

first let the L6 not touch... so you must
release your lock unlock in L6 cause
turbo does like mod in L6..

second .. close all your L7 ...
so you will get high core volt (may be 1,95 V
dont panic it's turbo natural..)

three set your mult and your corevolt...
mine set at 7,5 x 133

may be you can't go down
under 1.90 V corevolt to get 1 gig..

be carefulll.. temp rise crazy..
as long as you have a good HSF
i safe .....

so join the turbomen club cause i love turbo
it's smooth lik a silk.. he he he

Thanx, it worked! Running at 133*7.5 now. I have som problems with win me with errors and crashes, but I think that is related to something else. Never mind.
