Can i know what's the best setting to overclock my processor into stable and effective Mhz?? i tried to overclock by using the mainboard cmos .. " Slight Adjust ... i tried 120 ...i got 960Mhz but i cant boot into windows.. Please help.. beside pls recommend a high cpu fan too.. Sorry i'm a Newbie ..10s

DURON 800 with MSI KT7 Pro 2-A Help

The only difference between a k7tpro2-a and a k7tpro2 i that the a-model handles ata 100, i.e. they both come with the kt133 chipset (not kt133a). You can´t expect to get fsb 120 out of a kt133. I can't go over fsb 107 on my k7tpro2. So I guess you will have to change the muliplier in order to get a good oc-result. I'd recommend that you read every article you find about unlocking your processor, and then go for it.

ya the kt133 set will only render107-110at best of a FSB, so once you get to the maximum FSB probably 110-112@ the default multiplier than you can start trying to up it one step at a time-the kt133 is not a great chipset for overclocking-id think that with decent cooling you should hit 10x107=1070, thatd be a good OC-hope all goes well
