I´ve got two mobo(a7v133 & aopen ak33) and two duron (800 &700). I tryed to overclock my duron (700) with the pencil tip, but I linked other bridges not the L1. I did this because my mobo(ak33) can´t select the multiplier and voltage values...so I linked the rest of the L bridges to reach 700@1000.
The first time, it run to the post, and later it didn´t boot.
The mobo didn´t work and it was replaced by the same (guarantee). But I bought an a7v133 and D800 mhz.
supposing that duron700 is burnt and I put it back into the a7v133...can it damage my mobo? how can I know that duron 700 work?

i dont think its burnt, because they dont burn from overclocking, only by voltage and temps like 90c,
i think you have to try to erase the pencil trick, and i dont think it can damage your a7v133 to try to see if it works

The only way of burning a chip is to apply a bad thermal interface - heatsink not seated correctly can mean that no heat is removed and chip burns out.

The safety cut out features within the chip won't let the chip post if the parameters are too far out of specification that are being applied to it.

If the chip is burned however you will see physical burn marks on the backside of the PGA package.

I had made several tests and I can say that my Duron 700 isn´t burnt and it works fine on an a7v . But the same processor on Aopen ak33 doesn´t works. and the mobo is fine... It will occur because the L2...L7 bridges are still linked...(I suppose) and with the ak33 can´t control the voltage and multipier values...so it can´t boot (Is my theory true?).
Thanks to everybody that had helped me!!!
