ok...once the KT133A and the AMD 760 hits the streets...things'll look cool for AMD...

my question:
will the current batch of athlons and durons (100Mhz fsb) be able to run on the KT133A at 133Mhz fsb instead of the usual 100Mhz?

i did some readings from different sites and they confirmed that it's an easy upgrade for the current users...

A duron 600 (6X100) can be overclocked to 800 (6X133) on a 133mhz fsb capable motherboard...

so are things starting to look like intel and the coppermines?

Dean, glad you open your eyes and ears buddy, this news is nothing new. We have known for many months that VIA was coming with a chipset for 133mhz FSB that would utilize PC133 memory. Are you also aware that VIA is coming with a DDR chipset to support the Pentium 4, now you can really compare Rambus to DDR on the same CPU, could be the death of Rambus if Intel and Rambus don't stop VIA from releasing this wonderful chipset.

OR

It could prove that Rambus is worth its salt after all. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess. (Maybe if RDRAM is a success with the P4, they will stop suing everyone!!!)
