Hi all,

MY Last CPU was a DLT3C0310 from mwave.com but it was DOA. I just got a DUT3C0311 from a local shop (I live in Germany) and now I'm finally trying for a successfull OC! Where should I start out at safely with the following:

Epox 8rda+
Athlon XP1700 DUT3C011
512MB PC2700 Infineon
Thermaltake Volcano 9
ATI Fire GL8800
Case with lots of fans
Allied 450 watt PS

Any advice is appreciated!

Da noob - Zeke

Personally what I did was set the multiplier low (say 8ish), and tested out where my FSB/memory was limiting me. At 9X, I found that 190FSB was about the top end of where I could go. So then I scaled back the FSB to 180, and started upping the multiplier to the point where the system was no longer stable. I would scale it back 0.5 or 1 from there, and then start upping the FSB back up. Eventually I found that my CPU became unstable, with my current set up, at around 2.2ghz. From there I just toyed around with various multiplier and FSB settings to find the most effective and stable combination. For now I have settled on 12X180=2160. 12.5X175=2188 was also stable, however the slight clock increase did not make up for the FSB speed loss.
