DVD rom not recongized

I recently upgraded my old scsi cdrom to a DVD rom, and it works fine except when I first boot to windows it isnt recongized. I have to goto device manager and refresh before the system sees it. It really isnt a huge deal, takes like 30 secs once every few weeks but, I want everything to work right on this one.

Some time back, I had a DVD rom that the system never seemed to recognize, but always functioned when I needed it to. When you deal with SCSI, things can get very aggravating, but as long as it is working, don't spend time worrying about it.
