Is this really the best program out there to copy dvd movies and backup data? What features does it not have compared to Nero? (Sorry those are the only companies i know of that make dvd burning programs) Thanks.

Bump!

I was wondering the same thing. I keep hearing the DVD X Copy Platinum is the god of DVD ripping. Any other suggestions or thoughts on this.

There are other combined programs you can use to get just as good or better results. DVD X Copy Platinum seems to be the best "all in one" solution..there for making it the most commonly used.

I believe Nero is best for data backup.
DVD X Copy is very good for 1:1 copies of DVDs, but it leaves a disclaimer at the beginning of the DVD copy. You also can’t make a copy of the copy.
I use Clone DVD with Any DVD (decrypter) running in the background.
DVD Fab is another.
